Sorry I missed your live video. I was on the top deck of the Ovation watching the icebergs float by. We are having a grand time in Alaska. Last night we celebrated my in-laws 62 wedding anniversary at Chops. We had a fantastic dinner. I am so glad you were able to book their cruise and our friends too. This will be my father in laws last big trip. Thank you for making it such a wonderful time, I hope your trip turns out as well as ours has so far.

Your needs may differ, but I go to cruiseplum and find the best rates for a solo cruiser. Let the cruise lines earn my loyalty instead of me working for theirs.😅 Often these sailings do not line up with cruise line ad campaigns or conventional wisdom.

From that room was it only steps away to get to the Lido deck or did you have to go back up the hall towards the elevators to get to the lido deck? We will be in the room at the end next to this one on our next cruise - thanks for the helpful video!

Amtrak is also a great option for getting to NYC and can be quite inexpensive if you book early. Up and down the East Coast there are also a number of specialty bus lines, but they take longer than the trains, usually, how ever, costing less.

Post Cruise shuttles are available to take people to the ride share pick up lots at Pier 91. I used it in April 2024 after my trip on Carnival through the Panama Canal.
